The weekend

Saturday to Kingaroy

Mav led the ride, with Boyney and Jas riding as TECs. We started at BP Larapinta before heading north through changing country and scenery. Saturday’s ride covered about 383.4 kilometres, taking us through Kandanga and on to Kingaroy.

Lunch was at the Kandanga Hotel before the afternoon leg to the Room Motel Kingaroy East. Once the bikes were parked, the chapter headed to the Kingaroy RSL for dinner.

Sunday via Cooyar

We left Kingaroy at 8:00 am on Sunday and rode another 238.6 kilometres via Cooyar, where we stopped at the hotel.

My GPS stopped recording near Fernvale, so the 622.0-kilometre total is what I captured across the weekend rather than the complete distance from my front door and back again.

A simple chapter weekend built around the ride, the route, the scenery and time with mates.

Saturday took us from Larapinta through Kandanga to Kingaroy. On Sunday we rode back through Cooyar and into the Brisbane Valley. My GPS stopped recording near Fernvale, so the Sunday map finishes there.
